Core BEAT pathway: Business

As a core pathway, Creative Entrepreneurship supports and enhances all creative pathways, including music, media, design, video, podcasting, photography, performance, events, and creative technology, by providing the business knowledge and strategies needed to monetize skills, build brands, and create career opportunities. Students learn how to think like entrepreneurs, market their work, and navigate the creative economy.

Through hands-on experiences, students will explore branding, marketing, financial literacy, content strategy, and business planning while developing skills in leadership, communication, and problem-solving. Emphasis is placed on ownership, innovation, and empowering students to turn their passions into sustainable ventures.

Outcomes

By the end of the course, students will develop and present a creative business or brand concept, complete with marketing materials, content strategy, and a basic business plan, building a strong foundation for careers in entrepreneurship, business, and the creative industries.
