The experience
What it is.
Industry Experiences go past exposure. Students take on a real brief from a partner organization, work through it with mentorship, and deliver, learning how professional expectations, feedback, and deadlines operate. These engagements are built with the partner and the school together.

What schools ask
The questions that need answers.
How do multi-session engagements fit a master schedule?
Sessions run on and off campus across a defined period, and they are placed where your schedule has room: inside a class period, after school, or in an intersession block. The cadence is set with the school and the partner together, because the partner's production calendar is a real constraint alongside yours.
Who is responsible for students at a partner site?
School staff supervise on campus and accompany students off campus under district policy. Partner staff host on their premises, and Music to the Ears coordinates between the two. Mentors are working professionals who complete the same district requirements as any other volunteer or vendor working with students.
Is this only for students already advanced in a pathway?
No. The brief is scoped so every student in the group has a defined job, which means roles range from technical to organizational to on-camera. Access needs and adaptive equipment are reviewed with the partner before the first session so the environment works for the students who are actually attending.
What is the planning runway?
Typically one semester. That time covers the partner agreement, defining a brief that is genuinely useful to the partner and genuinely instructive for students, and scheduling sessions across two calendars. These engagements are best suited to CTE, capstone, and workforce goals where that runway already exists.
